I've always wanted to do a photo shoot involving bubbles. They move and pop really quickly so its hard to take a photograph of them. I chose to add some still life into the images in order to make them more interesting and to add a focus point of the images.
2. In a bullet list, what, if any, problems did you encounter during the assignment and explain why you think the problem occurred?
- Shutter speed
- Taking photographs of the bubbles before they popped and making them look as clear as possible
- Focusing on the flowers clear enough to make them interesting
- I believe the problem occurred because bubbles in general are really hard to shoot; which is why I chose to shoot them.
- I also think I had problems because the back light that i was using was really dark and made it harder to see the bubbles
3. In a paragraph, indicate why did you choose the images(s) that you turned in? Give compositional, subject matter and technical explanations.
I chose these images because I enjoyed the shallow depth of field on the images and how the light reflects off of the light tree. To me they showed a very interesting point of view, of bubbles almost popping and my fingernail touching them. I love the images and am proud of what I did because of how difficult it was to capture these images. I love the way the light reflects off of the bubbles and how the colors reflect off of them.
4.In a paragraph answer the following question. If you had to do this assignment again, what would you do differently and why.
If I had to do this assignee differently, I'd do more research to find out how to capture bubbles popping. That is the image that I was initially going for. I like the images that I have but feel I could have done a better job by doing more research.
